Rolling Out Lieutenant Governor Petition

The petitions have been printed and are ready to go. Mark Greene, candidate for Director of Elections, but also running for lieutanant governor in case he falls short in the vote count on Nov. 8th, is rolling out his lieutenant governor petition over the weekend, and expects to get the first few signatures before Labor Day. If you would like to sign, and could help with getting a few more signatures from your friends, relatives and acquaintances, please, write to mark@partyofcommons.com and the committee will send you a petition. Since the lieutenant governor campaign will be a partisan election, Mark will be running under the "Commons Party" or "Party of Commons" banner. Mark may be the only candidate from King County for this position; the incumbent (Owen) is from Mason County and Lisa Brown is from Spokane County. Since the Legislature has made the political calendar start earlier, it appears the petition must be turned in to the Secretary of State's Office by late May, 2012. Mark will be writing about lieutenant governor and state issues in the near future on our blogs.

If possible, please, consider contributing to campaign (see disclaimer below before donating): click on the title link above and make selections of how you want to donate, or send check or money order to Mark Greene for Director of Elections Comm., P.O. Box 612, Bellevue, WA 98009. Also, Mark is depending on supporters to spread the word about the campaign to get around the media bias regarding non-establishment campaigns. Thank you!

Disclaimer: Dean Logan is an ex-director of King County Elections and the predecessor to the present incumbent (both appointed by ex-executive Ron Sims).
