The Pelosi-crats: Just Like Bush

The truth is often sad, depressing, bewildering and astonishing, but the truth is that the U.S. Congress is mostly made up of scoundrels and accessories to the worst of Bush's imperial agenda. To a lot of you reading this that is hardly news, yet it cannot be over emphasized. The Pelosi-crats, in our mind, our worst than the Republicans. At least, the "Republicans" are more or less earnest in saying that they are imperialistic and in continuing the World Police Empire. In 2002, the majority of the "Democrats" in the United States Senate supported George W. Bush's drum beat in escalating the then low-level war in Iraq, and a good portion in the U.S. House of Representatives. Although Pelosi voted against the resolution for war in Iraq, probably to appease her more morally conscious constituents, she has since walked in lockstep with George Bush's corrupt foreign policies, stood silent when they told her they were going to commit immoral acts, and lie…

McConnell's Doctrine

The chairman once got into a debate in a college legal class about the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945, about 50 years after the fact, in which he said the bombings were undeniably wrong, because a country bound by morality and honor does not willfully target civilians for any reason. Wrong no matter who practices this type of indiscriminate warfare, whether it be suicide bombers or any nation state's armed forces, or anybody else. Wrong no matter that the alibi may be "tit for tat," since two wrongs don't make a right. However, the U.S. Senate does not see it that way. They passed a resolution today condoning indiscriminate warfare, with Mitch McConnell, a leader in the Senate, saying in so many words that it should be the absolute policy of America. Innocents, however, must suffer the brunt of McConnell's Doctrine. The vote in the Senate for approval was a composite voice vote; apparently nobody in the Senate, and it only takes one, demand…

Bush's Palace

The new and opulent Vatican-sized American embassy in Iraq was opened for business, recently. It is the largest embassy in the world according to news reports. It is said to have extravagant amenities for Bush's corp of diplomats that ordinary Iraqis cannot dream of, because they are too busy trying to eke out a basic subsistence from what's left of the country that Bush, Cheney, Rice, et al. destroyed. It is a shame that taxpayer's money is being wasted in this way. What is the purpose of this gigantic embassy other than to be a center for Pax Americana in the Middle East? American politicians and statespersons who once criticized the opulence of Saddam Hussein's palaces have now, hypocritically, built their own. This new palace is a symbol of Bush's bald-faced lie in the campaign of 2000 about seeking a "humble foreign policy." Congress should immediately pass legislation that would have this structure turned over to the Iraqi government, with a provi…

A Bad Joke

We shouldn't dignify the remarks of George Bush, Sr. with commentary, but we couldn't help it. Mr. Bush wants his son, Jeb Bush, the former governor of Florida, to be president some day. That must be some kind of a joke, because Bush II ruined it as far as continuing the family dynasty in the White House is concerned. Even a hundred years from now if some descendant of Bush, Sr. who is not even born yet were to run for president, a quick perusing of the history books, by the populace, as they read about the early dawn of the 21st century would place two strikes against him or her before he or she started. Unfair ... yes, it would be ... but not as unfair as the countless innocent victims around the world who lost their lives or were tragically maimed because of Junior.
