Government's Recognition of Karenga's Sect Is Ridiculous
Relatively very few black people of long generational descent in America recognize Kwanzaa, with its anti-Christian roots, or at least antithetical to Christianity, and a holiday created by a single person, Maulana Karenga (convicted of some horrible crimes against women), in the late 20th century (circa 1966), and first adhered to by that person's little sect before the government and greeting card companies decided to help it gain a bigger following, although still basically a sect's holiday. Why the government should be making postage stamps for Kwanzaa, and calendar-makers, public schools, and so forth recognizing it on a par with major holidays, is a very good question, especially the taxpayer-paid schools and postage stamp part.
