The Pelosi-crats: Just Like Bush

The truth is often sad, depressing, bewildering and astonishing, but the truth is that the U.S. Congress is mostly made up of scoundrels and accessories to the worst of Bush's imperial agenda. To a lot of you reading this that is hardly news, yet it cannot be over emphasized. The Pelosi-crats, in our mind, our worst than the Republicans. At least, the "Republicans" are more or less earnest in saying that they are imperialistic and in continuing the World Police Empire. In 2002, the majority of the "Democrats" in the United States Senate supported George W. Bush's drum beat in escalating the then low-level war in Iraq, and a good portion in the U.S. House of Representatives. Although Pelosi voted against the resolution for war in Iraq, probably to appease her more morally conscious constituents, she has since walked in lockstep with George Bush's corrupt foreign policies, stood silent when they told her they were going to commit immoral acts, and lied to the American people when she said that she and the Democrats were going to end the war in Iraq during the 2006 elections that carried her to Speaker of the House.

She said and did nothing all through Bush's and his general's use of chemical weapons, extraordinary renditions, unremitting attacks on civilians, and on and on. Her Democrat colleagues, like herself, have also supported Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and Gates in every way possible except for public relations, because they needed to fool the American people into thinking they were not Bushian so that they could be voted into power, when in fact they actually are Bushian in spirit and in deed.

Only Ron Paul, a true Republican, and Democrat Dennis Kucinich, and a handful of others had the nerve to oppose the policies of this latter day Caesarian-type empire out of 535 members of Congress. You can count them on one hand.

Post-script: Paul and Kucinich voted against the McConnell Doctrine in the House of Representatives earlier this week, along with three others.
