Mar-a-Cynicism

This blog has bent over backwards in defending Trump from his most strident critics until learning recently that the president's prize resort and secondary residence in Florida, Mar-a-Lago, somehow cannot find American cooks, waiters and waitresses in the entire wide expanse of the United States, with her 325 million people, let alone Florida.  So they apply for special visas for foreigners, particularly Romanians and Caribbean islanders, according to reports, to take these jobs after putting in jokingly puny & few help-wanted newspaper advertisements in, apparently, one city, Palm Beach, Florida; and they probably only did that because they are legally obligated to do so before they can recruit foreigners.  Who are these resort officials trying to hoodwink other than the most gullible?  This is nothing except an out-and-out preference for foreigners.  So much for Trump's "Buy American, Hire American" slogan as far as his personnel policies are concerned, unfortunately.
