Jarrett's Resignation May Open Up Opportunity for Mark
The "Democrat-Republican" in the Washington State Senate for the 41st District, Fred Jarrett, will be resigning from the Senate if he hasn't already. Jarrett is taking the position of Deputy Executive for King County which was offered to him by Dow Constantine. This means there will be a special election this year for that state senate position which just happens to be the district that Mark lives in. This may open up an opportunity for our chairman, Mark Greene, if he decides to avail himself of it. This would mean that Mark would run simultaneously for that position and for Secretary of State (the elections for each would be in different election cycles). The Party of Commons may yet get our first position in government if Mark wins his first general election.
