Revisiting Old Matters and the Next Election

It's very early to announce, but I will be running for the 114th U.S. Congress in the 9th District, the election for which takes place in 2014.  In all probability, I'll be running against "Blue Dog" Democrat Adam Smith, because he's the odds on favorite to win over Mr. Postma this November.  My platform will be economic progress, sanctions on outsourcing, phasing out nuclear energy & a gradual transfer from fossil fuel energy to clean energy, and an anti-interventionist foreign policy, among other things. This will be a return to the scene of the crime, that Adam Smith unwittingly benefitted from, since the previous time that I lived in the 9th District of Washington before the recent re-districting.  Now, the 9th District has been shifted to where I have lived for the past 7 years (the 8th District).  It was in the "old" 9th that I had the contested 2004 primary stolen from me, but ignored by the King County Elections Department and the U.S. Attorney's Office of Western Washington.  This blog has gone over all the details: see the posts listed at the end of this essay for the titles and dates.

12/11/10 The Seattle Times' Conundrum

"Blue Dog" Congressman Adam Smith voted for the following, unfortunately:
  • the 2002 Iraq War resolution
  • Gramm, Leach, Bliley Act (the law that dismantled the Glass-Steagall Act)
  • Wall Street bail-outs
  • Nuclear Energy Deal with India (effectively dismissing the Nuclear Anti-Proliferation Treaty)
If possible, please, consider contributing to campaign by sending check or money order ($14 for Year 14) to Mark Greene for U.S. Congress Committee, P.O. Box 612, Bellevue, WA 98009. Also, Mark is depending on supporters to spread the word about the campaign to get around the media bias regarding non-establishment campaigns. Thank you! Mark is probably the only politician in Washington that had the temerity to keep the 2004 election shenanigans (of which "Blue Dog" Democrat, Adam Smith, was one of the unfortunate beneficiaries) in the news as late as 2012 and to call out names. Elections are too important for shams to be ignored and for accountability to be neglected.
